The following services are offered with Women’s Health and Trauma Psychological Services (WHTPS). Please see “About” page for a list of conditions that WHTPS can help you with.
Psychotherapy: Short and long term individual virtual psychotherapy is offered for clients based in Ontario, BC, Alberta, Nunavut, and the Yukon. In person sessions may be available for BC residents, especially those in the Vancouver area. At times, group therapy may also be offered (see “News” page). A free 15 minute consultation call is initially offered to help you to understand if services can support your goals.
Consultation (Individual and Organizational): If you are a mental health or allied professional who wants to improve their knowledge and technique of psychological theory or therapy, WHTPS offers consultation sessions. Sessions may focus on a topic related to the clinical areas served by WHTPS, as well as broader improvement of therapies that may include mindfulness, ACT, CBT, relational and/or psychodynamic treatment, as well as trauma treatment . Perhaps you are an allied health professional or organization and are interested in improving your ability to apply a trauma sensitive lens to your work. Sessions can also support you in developing a feminist and/or anti-oppressive paradigm to your practice that improves the effectiveness of your work.
Training, Education, and Workshops: If you are an organization or educational institution you may be interested in an educational or training workshop on topics related to women’s health and mental health, trauma, gender and trauma, feminist approaches to mental health, and relationships between sexism and trauma. Participatory workshops can be developed that integrate community theatre techniques.
Rates for services follow provincial guidelines. Please inquire for more information on “Contact” page.
